Woulda, shoulda coulda. Hardly ever do I not play SWEAT, and today 3-tiles flip in my favor and I still couldn’t solve it until the fourth try. Just my luck! Honestly, I had SMEAR in my head for my second attempt but my other plays sounded safer. On to tomorrow!

My Gameplay: PEACE, STEAR, ALLEY, ALIEN
There were three vowels in today’s solve which most likely helped a lot of you. Even more so if you were able to place them in their respective positions. My second guess was an attempt at finding their locations which isn’t the greatest tactic when you’re first solving the puzzle. My method is to eliminate as many letters first before hunting around. On to tomorrow!
Pun Play: For some, the remaining letters probably made NUISANCE at all!

My Gameplay: SWEAT, DRINK, MOGUL, BUGGY
If I had to guess, I’d say most people will either solve this in six tries, or not at all. That’s just my two cents even though you never asked. It all due respect though, the Wordle solution on Friday has been a bit trickier and we should’ve known it was coming. All of the letters in the solution, sans the Y if all the other vowels didn’t work, were not my typical choices. YMMV. The way I solved today’s was when the L in MOGUL didn’t work. I was checking for an -LY suffix which didn’t end up being there. I knew the U wouldn’t be in the first or last spot so I assumed it’d be UG. Here’s where it get’s interesting. The focus of today’s Jumble cartoon puzzle just happened to be about mosquitoes so I still had bugs on my brain. No pain in the neck for me. On to tomorrow!
Today is the exact reason why I keep coming back to play the Wordle. After my third try, CHORE, I located the H and knew the R would be in front. My only problem was that I got flustered and couldn’t think of any RH words. Oh well. We all have our moments. On to tomorrow!
Silly luck is all it was for me today! I saw OUTH while looking at the remaining letters and figured I’d give the M a whirl. It popped into my head, and just like that the game was complete. Sometimes I don’t know which I dislike more — a laborious brain-bender or the gimme’s. Who am I kidding? It’s the Wordle and I enjoy each and every one just the same. On to tomorrow!
My suggestion for today is aimed at those of you that don’t care all too much about your score. If you’re getting near the end of your game and you see a playable word in the remaining letters, go ahead and play it to eliminate a bunch of letters. If you look at my gameplay above, I located the A and R in the first three words and saw MOUTH remaining so I gave it a whirl. Got lucky and the rest is history. On to tomorrow!
