UNTIE

DEFINITIONETYMOLOGY

Pun Play: She’s KNOT going to like the results in the end.

My Gameplay: TRAIN, PLODS, MUCKY, UNTIE

That’ll teach me for not trying the E sooner! But I must admit, my opening word was stellar and did much better than my usual one which is CRANE. Have a super start to your week and much luck with the upcoming solves. On to tomorrow!

VOTER

DEFINITIONETYMOLOGY

Pun Play: I CONGRESS your age just by looking at your face.

My Gameplay: CRANE, PILOT, TOKER, VOTER

There was a moment when DOTER was going to be my guess until I located an unused V hanging out below it. We’ve had some crazy words, and I knew DOTER would be valid, but it seemed too much of a stretch. I’m glad I checked out all the possibilities. Always trust your gut, folks. Happy Saturday. On to tomorrow!

GROUT

DEFINITIONETYMOLOGY

Pun Play: There’s glitter on the floor because we made a MASONRY were working.

My Gameplay: TEARS, FORTY, BROTH, GROUT

The surprise answer made me think of an SAT question: GROUT is to TILES as LETTERS is to WORDLE. In my mind they’re both bonding agents and necessary for the task. TGIF everyone. We’ve finally made it to the weekend. On to tomorrow!

STAID

DEFINITIONETYMOLOGY

Pun Play: She’ll regret that I SOLEMN only a few times.

My Gameplay: SPUNK, STARE, STALL, STAFF, MOWED, STAID

I’m definitely off my WORDLE game. The most frustrating part was having the first three letters of the solve after the second guess and I still couldn’t figure it out. The lack of double letters also seemed to have been a contributing factor as I tried STAFF and STALL back-to-back without success. Have a groovy Thursday everyone. On to tomorrow!

Wordle Answer for 03/22/2023 (#641)

DUVET

DEFINITIONETYMOLOGY

Pun Play: Why DUVET think they’ll get away with it?

My Gameplay: DRIPS, DONUT, DUVET

Just a lucky guess that panned out in my favor. DUVET is one of my favorite words to use as a pun when the sentence relates to a bedroom or sleeping. Happy humpday everyone! On to tomorrow!

Wordle Answer for 03/21/2023 (#640)

TOUGH

DEFINITIONETYMOLOGY

Pun Play: You’ve HARD it easy for far too long!

My Gameplay: TRACK, TOWEL, TOMBS, TOOTH, TOUGH

TOUGH nearly took the fight out of me. I do remember thinking of THOUGH, which is close, but disregarded it due to the amount of letters it has. If you solved it on the first couple of tries, congrats! Happy Tuesday and it’s also a New Moon. A New Moon happens when the Sun and Moon align, and the Sun and Earth are on opposite sides of the Moon. On to tomorrow!
