MY GAMEPLAY: DROWN, DONOR
Well how about that! My past two solves have been completed in two guesses. We did see double O’s again this morning so my guess is the folks who make the puzzle are toying with us. I’m an avid blood donor and have given 18 units during my lifetime. That equates to 2 1/4 gallons of blood! There are approximately 10 units of blood in the human body so I’m coming up on having donated my ENTIRE blood supply not once but TWICE. It’s a great feeling knowing that you’re probably helping someone on the worst day of their life. Now that’s a work of heart! On to tomorrow!
Hey, when you’re hot, you’re hot!!! No repeating letters this morning for what seems like the first time this week. I wonder how Momsie will fare? On to tomorrow!

MY GAMEPLAY: SHADE, MORSE, LOUSE, NOOSE, GOOSE
I kind of went down the rabbit hole for a minute there when I didn’t think the answer had repeating letters. Foolish me! And it was OO’s again which has sort of been a recurring theme this week. When I was younger, our family pet named Sheba attacked a Canada goose. I was a small boy and it was quite a spectacle to behold. The goose was a neighbor’s pet named Honker and it taunted Sheba while she was tied out to her dog house. One evening, Honker slipped up and got a bit too close and that mistake nearly cost Honker her life. Sheba was by no means a big dog, and she barely weighed 65 pounds after a good meal. I stood in horror as Sheba grabbed hold of the animal by its neck and repeatedly slammed the bird on the ground from left to right. Feathers were flying of its’ body at a dizzying pace as if someone had torn open a pillow and tossed its contents into the air! But not a My Pillow because Mike Lindell uses a patented blend of soft styrofoam fill to create his headrests. I know. Momsie got me an autographed copy of his book for my birthday a couple of years ago. Speaking of the ol’ battle axe, we were chitchatting yesterday and we agreed that your starting word is where you either make it or break it. You’re only as good as your opening guess! Hey — go enjoy the sunshine if you are so blessed. Take care. On to tomorrow!

MY GAMEPLAY: VEILS, PIECE, PIETY
Not an easy solve. But it’s Friday so I sort of suspected it’d be doozy. Momsie also solved it in 3 which is quite impressive. It’s the weekend. Enjoy every hard earned second of it. On to tomorrow!

MY GAMEPLAY: CRASH, FORTH, BIRTH, GIRTH
Forget about my solve. Momsie texted frantically this afternoon to notify that she solved it in only two! Yup, I saw the puzzle and it is true. Let today be all about the ol’ gal. I’m sure those martini’s will be going down smooth for her tonight. On to tomorrow!

MY GAMEPLAY: BLAND, TRAPS, TRACE, TRAIT
Those pesky double T’s almost got me today. We had double O’s on both Monday and Tuesday so I’m definitely getting some practice in with them. Are they getting easier for you or are they still troublesome? Enjoy your Wednesday and on to tomorrow!

MY GAMEPLAY: GRAPH, TOMES, BLOWN, FLOCK, FLOOD
The double OO’s strike again! So for those of you who didn’t quite get GLOOM yesterday, you didn’t have to wait very long for your shot at redemption. I hope you were ready! As for me? I got yesterday’s in 4 tries and today it took 5. Both puzzles only took a few seconds to work through though — no heavy lifting. Momsie has a great story about a flood I caused when I got out of my crib after she put me down for a nap. From what I understand, I made my way to the bathroom and turned on the faucet which flooded the living room below. Nowadays that would be called negligent parenting! On to tomorrow!
Momsie won’t believe I got it from just one letter! I had a feeling when I saw 9-letters flip without discovering a single clue letter that we’d be dealing with double letters this morning. I hope you all had your thing caps on. And in Momsies case, I hope she had one less night cap the night before. On to tomorrow!
VISUAL DESCRIPTION: An answer that BREW a lot of you away!

MY GAMEPLAY: TRUCE, DRAFT, FRITZ, FROTH
I think FRITZ would have been even more challenging than FROTH because of the Z. One of these days I’ll get around to compiling a list of all of the words that have been answers used in the puzzle. On to tomorrow!
