For a second there I thought I hit a bullseye when my guess of TRADE returned a sea of green! I’ve never guessed the answer from the get-go and have always wanted to do so. According to freedictionary.com there are a total of 158,390 5-letter words. The Scrabble Dictionary claims the number to be much smaller — a minuscule 8,996 words. Maybe tomorrow will be my lucky day. I’ll coach you all later!

HAIRY go again! Today I found myself in the same situation as yesterday. Remember my comment about STORM and STORY? I was positive that the fourth word was going to be HAIRS but I quickly changed it to HAIRY and what do you know?! Lol! It looks like we’re in for a bit of tomfoolery this week. Enjoy your Monday!

For sure I thought I had this one solved in 3! There were only 2 words that came to mind with STOR in them, STORK and STORM. Since I used the K in my opener I couldn’t have typed STORM in any faster. Maybe next time I’ll not be so hasty and give it some more time. You know, cover all my bases! Have a great start to your week everyone!

I had to chuckle a bit when I figured out the answer to today’s puzzle. The movie The Thomas Crown Affair was on last night and I’d never seen it before so I gave it a watch. It was pretty good except I fell asleep with only 12 minutes left. DVR’s are amazing! Enjoy your Tuesday!

MY STARTING WORD: SPARK

After my first two guesses didn’t get any of the letters in the correct order, I changed pace and decided to just eliminate letters. Once I stumbled upon the W in BOWED, all I had to do was unscramble the 5-letters for a suitable word. This puzzle left me a bit frustrated for some reason.
