MY STARTING WORD: SLOPE

Happy Monday everyone! I know in the visual description I said that they shoulder made this one harder. In all actuality, I thought it was plenty hard enough for the first solve of the week. Today was the first time since I’ve been posting these that I had to go the distance and use all 6 guesses. My solve was: SLOPE, SALAD, STALL, SNARL, SWAIL and finally SHAWL for the finish. Did you spot my non-word SWAIL? I was going for SWALE and looked up the correct spelling after I entered it because it didn’t look right. Oh well! Have a wonderful start to your week and I hope you drop by again tomorrow.

My Starter Word: CROWS

Good Sunday morning everyone! I’m playing the game at 3am today because I’m having a hard time sleeping. Maybe I should continue playing at such an early hour as the solve for this one one ended up being a piece of cake!

CROWS popped into my head to get the ball rolling and produced an R & W in the WS. WRING came next but didn’t give me squat. WEARY gave me an E and I immediately doubled it up in my mind with the W & R and thought of FEWER to end a delightful week of solves. 7-7 is my tally for the week. How’d you all do? Please drop a note down below and be the first to leave a comment!!! Have a super Sunday!

MY STARTER WORD: TULIP

Happy Saturday! I’m playing the game a bit differently today. I’m typing this as I do the puzzle to see if it helps the flow of my writing rather than trying to recall my moves post-solve completion.

Spring is on the way so my starting word for today is TULIP. T is in the CS (1st letter!) so I think I’ll have no trouble sealing the deal. I know I used the U, but TAUPE seems like a fun word to try. The T, P & E are all in the CS!!! I’m having a momentary brain poop right now for my next move…. All I can think of is TROPE so here goes nothing. BOOM!!! That’s how it’s done, folks! I’m happy as a clam! Adios until tomorrow! 😊

MY STARTER WORD: BLOWN

TGIF Wordle fans! It ended up being a perfect week of solves for me. My reasoning behing using BLOWN first was to get the obscure W and B into gameplay ASAP. All that became of it was the O in the CS and the N in the WS. Next came PRONE which didn’t help too much. SNOTS was used to move the N closer to the front of the layout and to use the S and T. At this point I had the SNO in the CS and knew the T would come last. SNORT was my first guess, but I had used the R in PRONE so I knew SNOUT would finish it off. Enjoy the weekend everyone!

MY STARTER WORD: WARPS

Happy Thursday puzzle players! My thought going into today’s solve was to use an obscure letter right from the start. WARPS produced a W and I was sort of surprised that to see there wasn’t a home for the S. Looking to gain ground, I decided to try a couple of vowels next and went with TOWED. At this point the OW was in the CS and and all I could think of for my next word was BOWEL! My reasoning was to see if the solution had an -LY suffix but I couldn’t think of any words with one so I just tried the L. Sure enough the puzzle had an L, so thinking back to yesterday’s double-L solution of SHALL, I decided to try them once again this morning with a guess of LOWLY. There’s almost no way better to start the morning than by seeing a field of green when you tap that enter button. Another successful solve and my win streak continues. So how’d you all do? Be sure to chime in down below in the comments section. It’s no fun being the LOWLY one talking about the puzzle.

Be well and enjoy your day!

MY STARTER WORD: THIRD

Happy Wednesday everyone! Our third Wordle puzzle of the week wasn’t any trouble for this seasoned solver. I’m not gonna lie — my heart did skip a few beats at the end when I was searching for that last letter (V) and only had one shot left. I’m surprised I have any fingernails left!

Starting with THIRD, the T was in the WS (wrong spot) so I figured on my next guess I’d place it at the end. SWEET came to mind for my next try. It produced an E, but like my previous attempt it was in the WS. STOLE popped into my head next and voilà, I had four of my five letters lined up and the solve was primed for completion! Would STOKE get the job done? Nope. It had to be STONE then, right? Nice try, bub! With only one attempt left I chose the V and whadda ya know? Winner winner chicken dinner! I haven’t had to push my solve this far down the grid in a few days so it’s nice to know I haven’t mastered the game (yet!).

Be well and enjoy the rest of your day!

SHALL

Happy Tuesday everyone! My apologies for not posting the answer to the Wordle puzzle over the weekend and Monday. Unfortunately I came down with a cold that had me down and out for a few days. I’m feeling much better now so with all that in the past, let’s jump right in and see how today’s solve went:

The starter word I chose for today was : STORE

Right out of the gate I got the S in the correct position and went with SLIPS for my second guess. Only after the solve did I notice that I tried another word with an S in it, but at the time I was more focused on getting the more obscure P into gameplay. An L in the ws (wrong spot) was my only clue so I decided to double it up and give SMALL a spin. What a SURPRISE!!! My hunch turned out to be quite lucky and at that point I knew SHALL was the final answer. Maybe I’ll go to the store and get a lottery ticket or a scratcher. Be well and enjoy your day!

A pilfering Penguin!

Happy Thursday everyone! I’m absolutely addicted to Wordle and decided to create a website where we can discuss the solution to the daily puzzle and how we arrived at it.

Since today will be my first post, I decided to give the word FIRST a whirl. The R was in play as the second letter and I tried CROWD next. CRO showed all green and I knew I had today’s puzzle in the bag! For my third word I tried CROAK and then CROOK ended up sealing the deal on my fourth try.

Let me know how you all did in the comments down below and I’ll catch you right back here tomorrow!
