MY GAMEPLAY: CLOWN, STOOP, FORES, MODEM, HOMEY, HOMER

This one had me stumped for a lot longer than usual. And silly me, I had already discovered the R in FORES on my third try but didn’t notice that it was the letter I needed to finish it off. So frustrating!!! In terms of meaning, HOMER is mostly associated with baseball, and its etymology states that it started being used that way to describe a scoring run in the sport in 1946. Prior to that, in 1868 to be exact, the term HOMER began being used as a term to describe a pigeon ”trained to fly home from a distance.” Neat stuff. Enjoy your Thursday!
