Solving this puzzle on the last guess was me averting disaster! Looking back, I believe my issue was trying to place my solved letters and not making valid words with the remaining letters. Live and learn. Happy Saturday everyone. On to tomorrow!
Wordles Answer 
My starting word was savor. This was a great word to use. I got 3 correct letters. My 2nd guess gave me 4 letters (rave). So I guessed at avert. I solved it in 3. Goes to show the starting word is important.
Does this make sense to anyone ?

SAVOR was a great starter indeed. The trouble with talking about the puzzles is that we have to use words instead of visual descriptions. It makes it difficult sometimes, but I get the gist of what you were explaining. Have a great weekend!
