Checking out the etymology on our answer, it was first used roughly in 1570 and meant arrogant. Today, that definition is now obsolete with it now meaning menacing, threatening, or irritable in mood or manner.
I surely didn’t find this solve to be very easy. Good solve on your part. It left an unpleasant taste in my mouth. 😝
